Badminton Association of Serbia, under the patronage of Ministry of Youth and Sports of Serbia, City of Novi Sad, Novi Sad City Museum and Tourist Organisation of Novi Sad, organizes international tournament under the name SERBIAN YOUTH INTERNATIONAL NOVI SAD 2013.
Organization of this important international competition is supported by: Olympic Committee of Serbia, Sport Association of Serbia, Serbian Institute for Sport and Sports Medicine, Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia, Yonex Company, Tin Sped, Lasta Transport Company, Winner's, Nasa Koka and Time Zone.
SERBIAN YOUTH INTERNATIONAL NOVI SAD 2013, event officially listed in the European Badminton Association competition calendar, is to be held from june 07 th to june 09 th inside Sports centre ‘’Slana Bara’’ in Novi Sad.
Total of 128 male and female competitors U11, U13, U15 and U17, from Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia are competing in singles and doubles. Entrylists contain names of several extremely good competitors from abroad (present time Balkan Champions and medalists from european tournaments). They will be competing against the best Serbian competitors and the matches are expected to be full of suspense. After the concludion of all the matches within the group stage, elimination will take part. Umpires will be Aleksandar Dimitrijevic and Miodrag Kalicanin. Competition programe lasting three days with over 200 matches to be played will be administered by means of using Tournament software which is planned to be used for the future national and international competitions.
Official Opening Ceremony is sheduled for Friday 07th of june at 17:00. Numerous representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, City of Novi Sad and its institutions, Olympic Committee of Serbia and Balkan Badminton Association will be present.
Final matches of Serbian Youth International are planned to start on Sunday, may 09th at 13:00. After the end of final maches, medal ceremony will take place. Besides competition, numerous social aktivities are planned for all participants.
