SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SERBIAN U17 AND YOUTH INTERNATIONAL NOVI SAD 2025
One of the best European tournaments broke records again

The international tournament Serbian U17 & Youth International Novi Sad 2025 brought together almost 450 competitors and more than 1,000 participants from 25 European countries with guests from the United Arab Emirates.
The tournament was held for the thirteenth year in a row, organized by the Badminton Association of Serbia, the Badminton Association of Vojvodina, the Badminton Club Novi Sad, and with the patronage of the Badminton Europe Confederation, the Ministry of Sports, the Provincial Secretariat for Youth Sports, the City of Novi Sad and the Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

In the period from June 18 to 22, in the excellent conditions of the Slana Bara Sports Center in Novi Sad, players competed in men's and women's singles, as well as in men's, women's and mixed pairs. At the tournament for younger age categories Serbian Youth International Novi Sad 2025, young competitors performed in the age categories U15, U13, U11 and U9 years, while at the BEC Grand Prix Serbian U17 Youth International Novi Sad 2025 they competed in the U17 age category.

The most successful competitor of the BEC U17 Grand Prix tournament was Christopher Kunkel from Denmark, after winning gold medals in the men's singles and men's doubles competitions. In the Youth competition, the most successful was the Hungarian competitor Eliza Liang, who climbed the podium twice, winning gold medals in the women's singles and mixed pairs competition. The youngest competitors who performed in Novi Sad were twins Georgi and Dimitar Stanchev from Bulgaria. Serbian national team won four medals in U13 and U9 categories.


The finals and awards ceremony were attended by distinguished guests including Tatjana Medved, City Council Member for Sports of Novi Sad; Nemanja Radović, Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of Serbia; Đorđe Bulić, City Council Member of the Čukarica Municipality – Belgrade; Zorana Godošev (Algotech); Predrag Marčetić (Tin Sped); Predrag Vuković, Board Member; Radomir Jovović, President of the Executive Board of the Badminton Association of Serbia and BEC Director.

Renowned for its organizational excellence, competitive level, and international relevance, the Serbian U17 & Youth International Novi Sad remains one of the top-rated tournaments in Europe. Officially recognized as a BEC Grand Prix event, it also holds the status of a nationally significant sports manifestation by the Republic of Serbia, AP Vojvodina, and the City of Novi Sad.
